Privacy Policy

In short: We collect no data from you. No account, no server of our own, no tracking, no ads. Your learning data stays only on your own device. This is not a setting — it is the fundamental architecture of the app and of this site.

1. Who we are

This policy applies to the mobile app Almanca A1: Aile Birleşimi (package ID: de.almanea.a1), published on Google Play under the developer name KPSS Proaktif, and to the a1almanya.com website.

2. What data do we collect? — None.

The app does not ask you for a name, email address, phone number, location or any identifying information. There is no registration, there is no account. We have no server, so there is no data that could be sent to us.

3. Where does your data stay?

All your learning progress (the cards you have worked through, test and simulation results, settings) is kept only on your own device, in the app's local storage. This data is not sent anywhere from your device.

• You can export it as a single file whenever you want.
• You can delete it permanently whenever you want (Settings → delete data).
• When you uninstall the app, this data is deleted from your device as well.

4. Tracking, analytics, ads — none

We do not monitor your usage. We use no third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.), no ad networks and no tracking SDKs. We do not share your data with anyone and we do not have it shared by anyone — because we hold no data.

5. Internet connection

After installation the app works completely offline. No internet is needed for the lessons, the cards, listening or the simulation; no silent requests are sent to a server in the background.

6. The device's voice (listening section)

In the listening exercises the German words are spoken by your device's own text-to-speech feature. The sound is not sent to us and is not recorded. The microphone is never used — the app does not listen to you.

7. Payments (Premium subscription)

The Premium subscription is purchased through Google Play. The payment is handled entirely by Google; your name or your credit card details never reach us. For Google's payment and privacy practices, see the Google Privacy Policy.

8. This website (a1almanya.com)

This site consists of static pages. It uses no cookies, runs no analytics and does not track you. Nothing is loaded apart from the screenshots and the texts; there are no forms and no sign-in.

9. Hosting and server logs

This website is delivered over Cloudflare infrastructure. When a page is requested, the provider processes technically necessary connection data — in particular the IP address, the date and time of the request and the file requested. This processing is required to deliver the page and to fend off attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically sound and secure website).

We ourselves do not access this connection data and do not combine it with anything else. We run no analytics and keep no logs of our own.

Retention: Log retention is not enabled for this website. According to the provider's documentation, HTTP request logs are not retained by default. Even if retention were enabled, the provider's documented query window is at most 7 days. Any processing beyond that for attack defence is the provider's responsibility; for this see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

10. E-mail correspondence

If you write to us at info@almanea.de, your message takes this route: incoming mail is relayed by Forward Email (forwardemail.net) and is then stored in the mailboxes where we read it — Microsoft 365 and Google (Gmail). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (answering your enquiry). We keep the correspondence for at most 12 months; if you want it deleted sooner, a message from the same address is enough and we delete it within 30 days.

11. Children

The app is intended for adults learning German for family reunification, and it does not knowingly collect data from children (it does not collect data from anyone in any case).

12. Your rights under the GDPR

Even though we store no personal data about you, the GDPR gives you the following rights:

• Access to whether and which data we process (Art. 15)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• Erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• Data portability (Art. 20)
• Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)

An informal message to info@almanea.de is enough to exercise them. Since we keep no user accounts, we generally cannot identify you; in that case the information we can give is only that no data about you exists (Art. 11).

Right to complain: You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time (Art. 77). The authority responsible for us is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.

13. Changes to this policy

If the policy is updated, the "Last updated" date on this page will change. Our basic principle stays the same: we do not want your data, because we do not need it.
